General Information

These Terms and Conditions apply to all Japanese language lessons and services provided by yuppe.jp ("the Tutor")
- Lessons may be delivered online, in-person, or as a combination of both, as agreed at time of booking.
- By booking a lesson or using our services, the user (“the Student”) agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
If you do not agree with these terms, you should refrain from using our services.
- The Company reserves the right to update these terms and conditions from time to time.
Any changes will be communicated in advance and will apply to future bookings and lessons only.

Bookings and Payments
- All bookings must be made via our website, or by contacting us directly.
- Lessons must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.
- Payment must be made in full prior to the commencement of the lesson, unless agreed upon otherwise.
- We accept payments via credit card, debit card, Klara, and other methods available on our website.
- Credits obtained from prepaid lessons or lesson packages must be used within 6 months of purchase, unless stated otherwise.
- The Company reserves the right to change lesson fees with reasonable notice. Any changes will not affect lessons already paid for.

Cancellations and Refunds
- Students may cancel or reschedule a lesson by providing at least 24 hours’ notice before the scheduled start time.
In the cases, the Students shall be eligible for a full refund or reimbursement of credits.
- When cancellations are made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or failure to attend a lesson (“no-show”), these cases shall be non-refundable.
- We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule lessons due to unforeseen circumstances, such as adverse
weather conditions, natural disasters, or other emergencies. In such cases, customers will be offered
a rescheduled lesson, credit reimbursement, or full refund.
- Neither party shall be held liable for cancellations caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as illness, emergencies, or technical failures.

Participant Responsibilities
- Participants are expected to arrive on time for all scheduled lessons. No shows may result in missed portions of lessons or forfeiture of the booking.
- Students are expected to behave respectfully and appropriately during lessons.
- For online lessons, Students are responsible for ensuring a suitable learning environment, a stable internet connection, and functioning equipment.
- Students are responsible for completing any assigned practice or preparation to support their learning progress.
- Students should inform the Tutor of any learning needs or relevant circumstances that may affect participation.

Trial Lessons
- Trial lessons are intended to allow Students to experience the Tutor’s teaching style and assess suitability.
- Trial lessons are limited to one per Student.
- Trial lessons must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.
- Trial lessons are subject to the same cancellation policy as standard lessons.
- Participation in a trial lesson does not create any obligation for either party to continue with further lessons.
- The Tutor reserves the right to refuse trial lesson bookings where misuse of the trial lesson offer is suspected.

Personal Data
- Personal data may include name, contact details, payment records, and lesson notes.
- Students have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data in accordance with UK data protection laws, including the UK GDPR.
- We respect your privacy and take the protection of your personal data seriously. Any personal information collected during
bookings or communications will only be used for the purpose of providing our services and will not be shared with
third parties without your explicit consent, except where required by law, or where necessary for payment processing.

Intellectual Property
- All teaching materials provided by the Tutor, including worksheets, slides, recordings, and written content, remain the intellectual property of the Tutor unless otherwise stated.
- Materials are provided for the Student’s personal use only and may not be shared, reproduced, recorded, or distributed without prior written permission.
- Recording of lessons is not permitted without the Tutor’s explicit consent.

Liability
- While the Tutor will make reasonable efforts to support the Student’s learning,
no guarantee is given regarding specific outcomes, examination results, or language proficiency.
- The Tutor shall not be liable for technical issues affecting online lessons that are outside the Tutor’s control.
- For in-person lessons, the Tutor shall not be responsible for loss, damage, or injury except where caused by negligence and to the extent required by law.

Termination of Services
- The Tutor reserves the right to terminate lessons with immediate effect if a Student breaches these Terms and Conditions or behaves inappropriately.
- Students may stop lessons at any time; however, unused prepaid lessons are subject to the cancellation and refund policy above.

Governing Laws
- These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
- Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
