[ 辞書形 - Jisho kei] - How to make Dictionary-form

I will introduce you how to make Dictionary form.

*Before you learn dictionary form, you need to know that Japanese verbs are divided into three groups. If you know that now, or want to review, please check at another post.

3rd group

3rd group verbs are all irregular, you just need to remember those conjugation.

ます形けい masu-form	辞書形じしょけい dictionary form
します shimasu to do	する suru
来ます kimasu to come	来る kuru
勉強　しますbenkyo- shimasu to study	勉強　する benkyo- suru
連れて　来ます tsurete kimasu to bring sth	連れて　くる tsurete kuru

2nd Group

2nd group is simple.
You need to delete ますmasu, and add るru.

ます形 masu-form	辞書形 dictionary form
食べます tabe masu to eat	食べる taberu
寝ます nemasu to sleep	寝る neru
教えますoshiemasu to teach	教える oshieru
閉めますshimemasu to close	閉める shimeru
開けます akemasu to open	開ける akeru

1st Group

For 1st group, you need to delete iますimasu, and add u.

ます形 masu-form	辞書形 dictionary form
書きます kakimasu to write	書く kaku
読みます yomimasu to read	読む yomu
飲みます nomimasu to drink	飲む nomu
買います kaimasu to buy	買う kau
帰ります kaerimasu to go back home	帰る kaeru
